Introduction
Our porous purging plugs are manufactured from high-purity raw materials with an optimized matrix composition, formed by isostatic pressing and sintered at high temperature. Key advantages include effective steel purification, high permeability, no oxygen lancing required, long service life, and reliable operational safety. The plugs achieve controlled interconnected porosity through deliberate aggregate packing, with pore sizes distributed within a specified range. This design overcomes the limitations of conventional slit-type purging plugs, which are prone to molten steel infiltration, low permeability, and short service life. They are primarily used for bottom argon blowing in refining ladles (LF, LF-VD, CAS-OB, etc.) and conventional continuous casting ladles.
